France (Europe), c. 175 x 126 cm, first half of the 18th century, bizarre silk and gold embroidery in appliqué technique manufactured on silk ground, the panel is trimmed at the lower end and is inscribed with undecipherable monograms at the upper end, both long sides are framed with a border of silver threads, several tears in the delicate ground, entirely backed with felt.
